Ethel Lavinia King Fitzgerald
Ethel Lavinia King Fitzgerald, 80, passed away Friday, December 16, 2011, at Hospice Savannah.
She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church on Wilmington Island.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Edward Fitzgerald, Jr., of Savannah, son, Edward Mary Fitzgerald, of Savannah, daughters, Colleen George W., Sr. Henry, of Savannah, Susan Gary Parker, of Guyton, and Peggy Troy Waters, of Savannah, one brother, Jim Dottie King, of Alabama.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, George Terri Henry, Jr., John C. Lauren Henry, Edward A. "Ted" Fitzgerald, IV, Adrienne Buck, Jamie Moore, Jenny Moore, Elizabeth Newsome, Amber Shaw, Paige Shaw, Ashley Parker, and Albert Parker.
Also her great-grandchildren, Emmeline Henry, Delany Rose Henry, Avery Lavinia Henry, Katherine Honor Henry, John C. Henry, Jr., James Moore, Jenna Moore, Parker Moore, Layla Grace Newsome, Kirra Parker, Gavin Parker, and several nieces and nephews.
Rosary Service will be 4:00 p.m., Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m., Monday, December 19, 2011 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with The Rev. Msgr. P. James Costigan, celebrant.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
Special Thanks to Coastal Home Care, Hospice Savannah, and Rest Assured Tele-Care Givers, for the love and attention given to Mrs. Fitzgerald.
Remembrances may be made to Meals on Wheels, St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, or Hospice Savannah.
